Many of our clients are currently considering various options for organizing their financial flows to continue their activities in Russia and mitigate risks related to banking and sanctions. So, we decided to describe how foreign companies can open accounts in international banks in Russia.

Requirements

The following documents are usually required (minimum requirement):

  • Certificate of Incorporation;
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association;
  • Certificate of Good Standing;
  • Extract from the Registrar/Certificate of Incumbency;
  • Certificate of registration of legal entity with Russian tax authorities (Taxpayer Identification Number (INN) Certificate). If necessary, we can register your company with tax authorities (in the presence of the customer or by proxy).
  • Documents confirming the powers of the legal entity’s sole (collegial) executive body;
  • Power of attorney (authorizing bank account opening by proxy). The text of the power of attorney must be approved by the bank;
  • Document certifying the identity of the legal entity’s sole executive body (individual), the persons authorized to dispose of funds on the legal entity’s bank account, and other representatives of the legal entity;
  • Notarized sample signature card and company seal.

Documentation requirements may vary depending on the selected bank. We constantly liaise with our partner banks. Given the high degree of uncertainty and ever-changing conditions, we recommend contacting us to find out about current requirements and planned changes
