From July 1, 2024 mandatory labeling is introduced for medicines and jewelry

Imported into the Republic of Kazakhstan and (or) produced on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, packaged in the form of dosage forms (including medicines in the form of transdermal systems) or in forms or packages for retail sale, except for medicines and vaccines used in veterinary medicine, are subject to mandatory labeling.

Marking is also introduced in respect of jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones imported into the Republic of Kazakhstan or produced in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with mandatory withdrawal of marked items from circulation at retail and wholesale sales. Introduction of mandatory marking of jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be one-time, not step-by-step, as it was with marking of medicines.
